Rosehip

Rosehip is good for the stomach, skin and coat, a real health bomb: lots of vitamins C and E and fiber. Rosehip contains a significant amount of vitamin C. Vitamin C improves collagen production. Rosehip contains, among others, bioflavonoids, antioxidants, amino acids, glucose, beta-carotene, copper, potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, selenium, omega-3 fatty acids, fluoride, vitamins A, K, D, B6, etc. Rosehip also contains pectin, which is a soluble fiber and promotes intestinal function by lubricating it. In addition, rosehip sorbitol prevents hyperacidity in the stomach and increases salivation.

 Sea buckthorn

No other berry has such a high oil content as sea buckthorn. Sea buckthorn oil is perhaps the most valuable ingredient of sea buckthorn, containing, among others, oleic, stearic, linoleic, palmettolinic and oleic acids. Vitamin E and carotenoid-rich palmettolin and linoleic oils are very beneficial for fat metabolism. Palmettolinic acid, which is important for skin health, is present in the berry flesh in excess of 30%. More than 90% of the fatty acids contained in sea buckthorn are so-called essential Omega 3 fatty acids, which must be obtained daily. In addition, sea buckthorn also contains Omega 6, 7 and 9 fatty acids. Sea buckthorn seeds and fruit flesh contain polyunsaturated fatty acids that have beneficial health effects. Sea buckthorn berries contain linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids. The body converts linoleic acid into GLA, which is needed to maintain good hormonal function. Sea buckthorn oils have a beneficial effect on the structure of mucous membranes. The berry provides these fatty acids internally and they protect the entire body.

Sea buckthorn is extremely rich in vitamins; including vitamins C, E and B, as well as beta-carotene in very high concentrations. Sea buckthorn is a well-known source of health and well-being. Vitamin C promotes normal immune function, helps reduce fatigue and protects cells from oxidative stress. The very high vitamin E and flavonoid content make sea buckthorn an effective aid in supporting the immune system. Many other substances contained in the berry also promote the absorption of active substances. Vitamin C and flavonoids work better together than separately, as do vitamins C and E together, and vitamin E and beta-carotene together.

Blueberry

Blueberry berries contain organic acids, tannins, anthocyanin pigments, flavonoids, pectin, invert sugar, vitamins C and A, arbutin, hydroquinone, trace elements—especially manganese—and a high amount of dietary fiber. Blueberries help protect and strengthen the stomach lining, have a mild astringent effect, and have traditionally been used to relieve diarrhea. The anthocyanosides in blueberries may help maintain healthy, well-functioning mucous membranes in the stomach and small intestine. Blueberries are a powerful source of antioxidants and are also important for eye health. In addition, blueberries support brain health and function thanks to their antioxidants, anthocyanins, and flavonoids, which help protect brain cells and may prevent memory decline.

Lecithin

Lecithin is a regulator of fat transport in our body, the phospholipid and choline it contains promote fat metabolism. Choline maintains the normal function of the liver. Lecithin neutralizes stomach acids and forms a water-repellent surface layer in the intestine, which protects the mucous membranes. Lecithin also contains unsaturated fatty acids (linoleic and linolenic acid, also known as Omega-3 and Omega-6). Lecithin is also a valuable supplement in reducing stress.

 Cranberry

The flavonoids in cranberries help to inhibit the growth of bacteria and prevent them from adhering to the mucous membranes of the urinary tract, making them an excellent support for urinary tract health. The berry is also rich in nutrients: it contains vitamins A, B, C, D and E, as well as important minerals and trace elements that strengthen the body's immune system and support normal body functions. Cranberries are rich in antioxidants that protect cells from oxidative stress, as well as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids that promote skin and coat health. In addition, the pectin and bitter substances it contains support digestion and intestinal function.

 Glucosamine (vegan)

Glucosamine is a naturally occurring substance in the joints that decreases with age and is therefore used to prevent and treat joint degeneration. Glucosamine increases cartilage health, protects joint cartilage from degeneration and inhibits the activity of enzymes that destroy cartilage. Glucosamine maintains optimal joint function, slows the development of osteoarthritis and also suppresses inflammation. The use of glucosamine increases the glucosamine concentration in the synovial fluid. About 90% of glucosamine taken orally is absorbed.

Collagens I and II

Collagens must be broken down into amino acids to enable their transport to the sites of action. Collagens are processed, as if “pre-digested”, into amino acid chains, resulting in an easily digestible and absorbable product – collagen hydrolysate, which is broken down in the body into amino acids and bioactive collagen peptides. Collagens activate the body’s own collagen production when used internally. Collagens provide tissues with mechanical resistance due to their high tensile strength. Type I collagen, which forms long strands in the extracellular matrix, is the most common protein collagen in the body; it is found especially in bone, but also in tendons, ligaments and the dermis of the skin, among other things. Cartilage, on the other hand, consists largely of type II collagen fibers. Specially optimized bioactive collagen peptides promote the growth of cartilage structures and thus resist wear and tear caused by aging and excessive load. Therefore, oral supplementation improves joint health and keeps them mobile for longer. In Jakke products, the collagens are bioactive.

Chondroitin sulfate

Chondroitin sulfate is a substance naturally present in the joints and one of the main structural components of cartilage, helping bind water to the cartilage tissue. Synovial fluid contains high amounts of gel-like hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate, which fill the joint spaces. Chondroitin sulfate acts in the joints as a therapeutic shock absorber and lubricant. It helps relieve the pain associated with osteoarthritis, improves the mobility of affected joints, reduces cartilage degradation, and slows the progression of osteoarthritis.

Zinc

Zinc is an essential trace element, the deficiency of which can affect a dog's health in many ways: it affects the utilization of vitamin A, the condition of the coat and skin, the health of the paws, resistance and general immunity. Zinc deficiency can also cause loss of appetite and reproductive problems.
