PETAGILE® Collagen is type II collagen and is highly purified bioactive collagen peptides from porcine skin.
PETAGILE® has been specifically developed to restore and support mobility and agility in pets. The effect of PETAGILE® has been studied in several preclinical and clinical studies. When taken orally, PETAGILE® is absorbed partially as intact peptides. These bioactive collagen peptides® stimulate cartilage cells (chondrocytes) to increase the production of new cartilage matrix. The cartilage matrix is mainly composed of collagen and proteoglycans, which act as a buffer between bones.
